We're building REI at a moment when much of the world has outsourced its thinking, adopted values by cultural osmosis, and retreated into cynicism. We're looking for people who want to go the other direction: first-principles reasoning, long-term thinking, and genuine conviction.
But we're not thinkers. Understanding matters, but the point of learning is to act. There has never been a better point in history to act. Today, technical execution costs so little, to help so many. If you are excited by the idea of building systems that give us superpowers and constantly create high-signal projects to change lives, then you might be a good fit.
